Raymond Raad

Dr. Raad is co-founder of Rivia Mind, an outpatient mental health center that focuses on delivering the best evidence-based mental health treatment. Dr. Raad is a clinical supervisor and educator for all clinicians in the practice, as well as manager of the group, helping ensure excellent care and quality customer service.

Dr. Raad graduated Phi Beta Kappa from MIT with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics. He then pursued a medical education at Columbia University, where he earned his M.D. and a Masters in Public Health (M.P.H.) focusing on healthcare policy and management. He completed his residency training in Psychiatry at the Weill Cornell Medical Center / New York Presbyterian Hospital, followed by a research and clinical fellowship in forensic psychiatry at Columbia University. He has also had extensive training in psychodynamic psychotherapy at Columbia University.

In addition to extensive clinical experience, Dr. Raad has published article and book chapters, and given talks at a variety of conferences. His interests include human emotions, free will, ethics and policy in mental health, and innovation in healthcare.
