1967: Columbia University: Ayn Rand answers questions from students about the difference between Objectivism and Nietzscheism.

She says the two philosophies don't have much in common at all; "practically a total basic difference." Nietzsche has certain very attractive quotes, she says, purported to uphold individualism and with which one could agree, if the context of his philosophy is not considered. However, Nietzsche was "not an individualist" and "certainly not an upholder of reason." To judge his philosophy one must begin by judging its fundamentals, particularly its metaphysics, epistemology, and ethics. She adds:  "Objectivism not only differs from Nietzsche but is its opposite."
